Data Engineer

Job Description

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and systems.
• Develop and execute project plans for data solutions.
• Create technical specifications and test cases.
• Adopt Agile methodologies for data engineering projects.
• Analyze existing systems and recommend improvements.
• Ensure proper documentation and system performance monitoring.
• Perform system risk and reliability analysis.
• Assess new technologies for adoption and implementation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or related field.
• 2 years of experience with data engineering or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Proficient in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience building APIs and data services.
• Strong DevOps focus and cloud deployment experience.
• Well-versed in designing, debugging, and documentation.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage GitHub repositories.
• Experience as a technical lead is a plus.
• Familiarity with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
• Proficient in data architecture and design patterns.
• Any IoT experience is a huge plus.
